Christmas is approaching quickly, and if you’re anything like us, you’re scrambling at the last minute to whip up a festive treat to bring along to your annual holiday get-together. Simple and foolproof is the way to go when you are in a hurry, as there is nothing worse than resorting to pre-made grocery store goodies, all whilst there is a big ol’ waste of sugar and flour piled in the kitchen trash can.
So turn on your Michael Bublé Christmas playlist, throw on your linen apron, and enjoy this delicious and easy recipe!
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 ground ground cloves
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
1/4 cup eggnog
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg large
4 tbsp sugar (for rolling)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl (flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg)
Cream sugar and butter in large bowl
Beat eggnog, vanilla, and egg at medium speed until smooth
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet and beat on low until just blended
Create 2 tablespoon sized cookie dough balls and coat in sugar
Place on baking sheet leaving 1 inch between each cookie
Sprinkle with nutmeg
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until bottoms are light brown
Once slightly cooled, transfer onto wire rack
