Kiah Kane is local Calgary ceramic artist who primarily uses hand building techniques. Her practice started with an exploration of a vessel called, a Tulipiere. These are traditional Dutch vases that were designed to display tulips. They were originally made for the wealthy but have since become a common household item in the Netherlands. Kiah is passionate about designing unique shapes and bringing them into more households in Canada. She has been exploring other household items since, such as tiles, plates, cups and more.
